IGN interview on GHOSTS

IGN asks questions about the upcoming HALO: GHOSTS OF ONYX. I hope it's entertaining to watch me dance around potential spoilers.

About as much information as I expected from a Bungie property before it's release. Good answers about the new armor and weapon question, though. Very thought provoking.

Also, Flo over at Kotaku seems to hate you for not dumping spoilers on us. Did you beat him up once or something? I kind of hope so, his comments on spoilers vs. ability to appreciate art are deprecating, at best.

Good.

If a writer isn't getting hated by some critic--they're not trying hard enough.

IGN just doesn't seem to understand what Buninja's are capable of. Fortunately, you do. Good job keeping your secrets.

Residing at the Bungie.net forums, there is a group that's been around since a bit before Halo 2 came out; this is a group based solely on theories about the Halo universe. You might find it interesting to read the banter...
all based on logic from the facts in public veiw.

Here's the link: The Watchers

I found another brilliant author (not much unlike yourself) recently I would like to share with you (you might also Wikipedia him): Peter F. Hamilton

October 31 can't come soon enough. Happy (early) Halloween!

Nice interview, vague as usual :D

I think the "tension" in the novels is what sets them apart from the Halo games (aside from all the story that is revealed in them) - there's an understanding of the UNSC the games don't show much. Great stuff.

I just loved the responses you gave and how it was starting to eat into the interviewer's prying questions.

Aside from the obvious screening, did Bungie personnel get a crack at actually writing some of your replies or any portions of them? I have to know.

So even as one of the more passive Halo fans out there, I wanted to say thanks for all the interviews and such you've been doing lately - a brief look "behind the scenes" if you will is always nice (and regarding this interview, here's thirding the Halsey love). The spoiler-policing (whether your choice or not) is also appreciated...primarily because some of us can't manage to do it properly ourselves...;)

Thanks everyone for appreciating (or at least understanding) the policy on spoilers.

Benjamin -- cool I'll check those links out.

EMF – Bungie does not write my interviews (boy, that would save a lot of time!). I recall only twice that Bungie has ever asked for changes. Once was to removed one word (plans they had for something they did not, at that time, want revealed) and the other to have me remind the readers that Bungie considers the HALO novels canon.

Nice.

Nice b/c you get to voice your full opinion, without venturing into spoilers of course.

And nice b/c I heard it from you that Bungie considers the novels official source material.

People spread the wrong info when they say they aren't.

Nice. you dodged a bullet there johnny (from a commercial) anyways, out of curiosity, how much do you work with Bungie? hehe, can you get the very first halo 3 from them? XD if you did, it'd be awsome. oh yah, when i was reading you stories, (on halo) did you play the game? it seems as if you played through it and.. well... totally beat it. Seems pretty cool. Almost as if your were a gamer!
