I'll just say now that MS will not tell you whether they will leave fanfic's alone or not (as per publication) and I would not recommend anyone to do it unless they are ready and willing to take the possible consequences.
As for the interview, well, i must say it was better than most. Good job UNSCDF.
Yes, this is a serious issue, and all fan fic writers and publishers should educate themsleves on the current legal situation.

BTW, for teh UNSCDF guys, congrats on a good interview. HBO even recognized you for a job well done. They said, and i quote, "while Nylund still doesn't give away a lot of secrets about the upcoming Ghosts of Onyx, it's clear that there are still good questions you can ask (the guys who did the IGN and Gamespot interviews recently might take a look)."

Yeah, I noticed that as well. We even received a mention in the lates Bungie Weekly Update for it :)!
