One Question I Can’t Answer...
R104d asks: [I] heard a rumor that you might not be making the 5th and 6th Halo novels, what’s up with that?
I posted a reply to a similar question in November, but it bears repeating as I get asked this a dozen times a day.
I appreciate that people want more HALO goodness in their lives, but regrettably I can’t say anything.
Everything relating to the upcoming HALO novels is controlled by Bungie: the authors, approval of the content, when the books get released--and when and where such information is announced.
Not only would it be rude for me to upstage Bungie, but I have signed a non-disclosure agreement that forces me to keep my mouth firmly shut.
All I can advise is that you monitor Bungie.net for announcements.
I hope everyone understands.

I would hope everyone would understand, seeing as how there's already been one Halo novel not written by you… :)
very well... it wasnt my intention to ask for something you were not allowed to disclose.
I had interpret the information and rumours that you had been contracted to write the 5th and 6th novel... mady it was just wishful thinking. anyway im going to take that awnser as a "Maby" and leave the subject until more information is released either by you or Bingie.
In any case, me and some friends were discussing which genre is easiest to write. i understand that it is very individual but i would still like to hear your personal preference?
Seeing as there's a religious bend to the Halo 'verse and Anne Rice has recently found Jesus (oddly enough, he wasn't in Tijuana for her), I think she should write the next ones. Halo Book 4: Interview With a Prophet The Truth Behind Truth.
Yeah, maybe not.
See, the very fact that he's in an NDA means that he's been at least spoken to about the possiblity of something, even though he can't actually answer that question.
No problems. Please keep your NDA and your jobs :).

Well, i'll read anything related to Halo but like i've seen on a dozen other comments, I would like to see this storyline concluded by you.
Too much to look forward to in unfinished threads of the story to see it done by anyone else.
amen to that... i want to know what happens to blue team... and what happened to grey team!!! :)
I understand that you cant answer the question of who, what, where, when, or how the next halo book is coming out, but i would like to say after reading the first halo book i did pick up some of your other books and i enjoyed reading them. I will be dissappointed if your are not allowed to right another halo book, however I am looking forward to reading some of your other righting.
im only on the third halo book but ive been wondering what is the blue team, red team, grey team? And im wondering why did other aurthers write some of the halo books?

Halo: Ghosts of Onyx kicked ass, it was so suspenseful i read it in 7 days. I didn't like Halo: Contact Harvest as much though, it was kinda boring
You may not wish to upstage bungie but I honestly think you have because the halo books you've written have made me more interested in the halo world more than the games did. I really hope your writing the next one and (if you are) I'm looking forward to it immensely
