Is the problem becuase it's in .mp3 format? or can you play .mp3s and the file is bad?
Also remember to right click and save the target file to your hard drive; streaming can often cuase probelms.
I just downloaded the file and played it both on Windows Media Player and in iTunes.
Let me know what your problem is and I'll try and fix it. Thanks.

it crashes with Windows media player
and iTunes deletes my ipod songs so i dont use it
i might try realplayer tho
That's awesome! When I get more than a minute later this week I'll give it a listen.
(Aside: Winamp is a good free music player that doesn't tend to crash things.)

I don't mean to sound like a idiot, but has there been a release date announced or even a around-about date. Perhaps 1st QTR of 2008, 2nd, 3rd or 4th?
This book sounds very, very good, and like others stated, I too have read just about everyone of your books, except Pawn's Dream and A Game of Universe. I really enjoyed Signal to Noise and A Signal Shattered, those were really good! Anyways, hopefully we don't have to wait very long until this comes out....
squish -- thanks for the kind words for my older novels. Right now, TOR is debating when would be the best time to release MORTAL COILS. I'll pass on the date as soon as I know.
I personally thought the interview was awesome, and I can't wait for the book to come out, although I must admit that I've never read anything of yours except the Halo novels, although those got me hooked. I did find nice hardcover editions of your older stuff on half.com for cheap though, so one of these days I'll get around to purchasing them and actually reading them...
Mr. Nylund, i read your book, the ghosts of onyx and thought it was great, is mortal coils going to be the next book to it? when does it get on the shelves
