“Really” Done This Time...Again

A while ago I posted the “Mortal Coils Done” entry on this blog.

How foolish of me.

Of course, my editor had notes...so I still had a lot of work. For the last three weeks I’ve been heads down focused on doing just that. There were no major changes, a few things here or there—but a few minor changes especially changes to one of the main characters in a manuscript this size snowballed fast.

I’m not going to say I’m done this time...but I’m done for now.

Later, I’ll have to revisit any edits my editor wants changed; whip up a reading/study guide; polish that first audio interview about Mortal Coils (hope to release that soon after Christmas); cajole, bribe, and plead for cover quotes; go over the proof pages with a scanning electron microscope; and gear up the marketing campaign.

In my copious free time a have a few future “projects of interest” that are demanding my attention as well.

It’s good to be a busy writer. Very good.
