Worst Childhood

I just saw this on io9 – the 11 Books About People Whose Childhoods Were Worse Than Yours.

Guess who was at the head of the list?

I did a double take. I wrote that? Really?

Yeah…I guess I did.

Poor Germain.

Now someone just needs to write a story with all of those guys sitting around in group therapy.

Or stuck in heavy traffic in the carpool lane in a Dodge Sprint.

That’s a great story idea!

I wonder if it would fall under the “parody” rules in terms of copyright? :0

That's a very interesting distinction or honor to have heaped upon your book. I'm not sure if I would be ashamed or proud or...I don't know, ha ha. But it's cool, you know?

Yeah, I don’t know how to react either. I still like that book an awful lot, though--probably my favorite of my earlier works. I wish there was an audio book version of it (full cast required—or a heck of a talented voice actor—to nail all the multiple personalities in Germain’s head).

I have been telling the folks at Audible for the last two years they need to record an audio version of "Game of Universe". Have you ever had any communication with them about it?

I stand by my prediction it would be on the top 10 most popular SciFi titles Audible carries within 6 months of release.

Allen -- nope. I have yet to contact Audible (although I am a member and dig their service). If you have a specific contact, please shoot me an email! Thanks.

Your email link does not seem to be working, something about the spam filter being broke.

That is just about my favorite of all your novels. Exactly tied by the Signal books, which I just read through again and broke the spine of Noise in half again. Now I need a fourth copy of Noise and I'm going to need a third copy of Shattered pretty soon. Have you locked the idea of another Signal book out? I neeeed to know where Reno is! /fanboy

Honestly, nothing else has grabbed me in an iron choke hold of goodness quite like those three. What ever happened to Hollywood combing through your past works? Hush hush?
