It’s been a blast for the last two years, and I really wanted to go, but this time around I’ve got a novella to finish ASAP. I promised I’d get it done, and it is big personal favor for a friend—so I can’t let them down.
(This is also the reason I’ve been not posting lately, and late on my emails).
Please someone send me a link to reports on Frankies HALO franchise panel™, and any pics of people walking around in MJOLNIR armor, etc.
I’ll miss you guys.

Alas I will not be there either. But not due to a crushing deadline; my lack of attendance can really be attributed to lack of funds. But who knows, maybe next year...
I just got back from a week long camp, so now I'm working on my books again. Starting the final edition to the first Vampire trilogy I've been working on this summer, buts it's not the whole series, just the first three books.
Sorry you couldn't go to Comic Con this year, deadlines must hurt. I'll understand when I start to get them in the future.
Can't wait for the Novella.
:^)
Man, where's all the love this year?
My comic shop isn't holding a booth, my buddies don't want to go, and 4-6 panelists I'd like to greet and meet are no shows.
You're killing me Eric. You owe me coffee when I get up that way.
DangerusDave—well worth going...the nexus of all cool things in the universe (at least of a few days).
Dakota—I can’t wait for this novella to be done either! : )
DZ—Coffee, sure. But really, don't you want me slaving away writing fiction instead of socializing? Honestly, I’m just not that interesting in person.
Fans can't wait for books to get finished, Authors can't either.
Kids can't wait for summer, neither can teachers.
This world is crazy.
I beg to differ on your statement that you're not an interesting person. I'd love to spend an afternoon picking your brain about all subjects involving writing, Halo, science, and all of that. Would be awesome.
Everyone's interesting, just in their own way, I like reading, lots of kids don't. I like HALO, lots of kids do.
Who says we were going to socialize? I was going to lure you into the back of van with biscotti and hold you ransom for my own selfish gains.
Come on man, I THOUGHT you knew me.
Besides, you've never been one to complain about timetables and seem like a responsible guy. I mean, maybe if I asked for coffee at 4 am when you're in your prime, I could see how that could disturb the flow.
If you're asking for coffee at 4AM, then can I get some pepsi, never tried it near the witching hour.
Heck, never drank anything near the witching hour. I ate some M&M's, but didn't drink anything at 4AM.
I got to see how much of the house I can mess up with a caffine rush at 4.
You work with Microsoft, please tell me if it's true...
Is Halo: Reach Bungie's final Halo game, then they're off and the mantle is being passed to 343 Industries?
I hope Bungie will still be involved, cause they tried a Halo game without them (Halo Wars) and they kinda messed it up a bit.
Would this novella be apart of the newly announced, but completely un-hyped, Halo book coming out in late November? Or is it something different?
Anonymous: That's the word around the 'nets. Doubtful that Mr. Nylund here could shed anymore light on that even if he did know for sure.
Anonymous2: (Hey, that was me!) Grabbed this link for perusal: http://nikon.bungie.org/news.html?item=27072 "Halo Evolutions" was announced by Tor just recently, that was the book I was referring to.
