Read about the latest from New York Times Bestselling writer Eric Nylund, author of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, Dry Water, Signal to Noise, and the new Mortal Coils series.
Nice, the mass market paperback looks better than the other one. And I don't think book stores keep good care of new paper backs because when I bought MORTAL COILS in Feb. this year, it was wrinkled, there was a gash chipped into the bottom of the spine, the cover was curving, the print was faded, it was just a messed up copy, book stores should be more careful with their books.
People love the glitter and the shiny! Mmm. Distracting.
Somewhat unrelated: Is Mortal Coils available in Japan? lol A friend of mine over there asked what she should read and I suggested it not thinking whether or not she could actually get it. I hope so! I think she'd like it.
Now I want a picture of a glittery train with happy bedazzled skeletons leaning out of it. Oooh. It can be like one of those old wild west scenes with a train out in the plains going by a herd of buffalo. Sparkly buffalo that glow extra special creepy under the black light of the day.
The sparkling thing probably won't won't work with the last book I just wrote. It's going to need a pretty creepy font and it needs to say: "HEY BUDDY! YEAH! YOU! OVER HERE! CHECK OUT MY FONT! DOESN'T THAT SPELL HORROR NOVEL TO YOU!" The sparkling will probably work for the Fantasy-War novel I'm writting long hand right now. Awesome cover, really pops, much better than the old cover.

I think your books will fly off the shelves just because of your name.

w00t.
That was on the cover of the PC version of Final Fantasy 8, and it definitely caught my eye and made me pick up the box.
I was just mesmerized by the sparkliness. That move alone will sell at least fifty thousand copies. At least.

Eric I thought you promised me you were going to avoid bedazzling ANYTHING for fear of being thrown on the glittery undead/supernatural train.
Way to let me down......
:D Cover rocks man.

Wow! Just finished The Fall of Reach, Mr. Nylund. Great book. thumbs up.
The orbital battle at Stigma Octanus was totally off the hook for me. Best part of the book.
The book is a lot diff than Ghosts of Onyx - like you were a lot more relaxed while writing it.
Merry Xmas, and please check your e-mail.
